Does my child have to compete or can they just do practices?
Competitions and Tournaments are completely optional! An AAU card is included in membership which allows wrestlers to sign up and compete at AAU tournaments.

What equipment do I need to practice?
A pair of wrestling shoes, shorts, and t-shirt

Does my child have to go to Bible Study?
This is a completely optional growth opportunity

How do I progress in wrestling?
There are five different levels of competency for each style of wrestling. A wrestler can test anytime they wish to earn the next level (and accompanying new shirt color!!!). Please see the "train at home" page for skills needed, and what mastery of skill means.

Can I go to other tournaments not on the list?
A coach with the right USA Wrestling credentials is needed to be able to be in the wrestlers corner.

What season is Wrestling?
We wrestle year round!
Folkstyle is fall and winter
Freestyle/Greco is done during spring and summer

Is Wrestling Safe?
No sports are completely safe from injury, wrestling is considered a relatively safe contact sport with injury rates being lower than football or ice hockey. Most wrestling injuries are minor sprains and strains. Proper hygiene is very imortant as well to prevent skin infections

How do I Sign up for tournaments?
Please see the events page to sign up and pay for tournaments. Athletes need to have a USA wrestling card to sign up. If you selected to compete at sign-up you will have been issued a USA card.

Usually $30-40 per wrestler
